Our forefathers gave us a tremendous gift when they fought for our freedom from tyranny in the Revolutionary War. They knew what a great price was paid for our freedom and what a difficult thing it was to take on their own government.
They had seen firsthand what war does to families, their towns and their own homes and land--the cost that was very dear.
When our government was formed, the wisdom in how each branch of government was set up gave us the right to fight against our government without picking up a musket: those wise men gave us the ability to fight with our vote: a beautiful gift.
You see, the forefathers knew what power does to people and they absolutely envisioned our need to pull back the reins on those who are elected to represent us.
These past two years have shown us more than ever how corrupt our politicians are, especially in Washington, D.C.
We have seen how total disregard for the constitution leaves a country in shambles, and that if the supreme law in the land is not obeyed, everything else is chaos. We are just beginning to see the chaos and it is scaring us.
When a new baby is born and on his first day is already deeply in debt--owing the government $40,000--there is something that puts great fear into the parents that their child might never have it as good as they did if he's that far behind just getting started.
America is not a backward country: and we know we must remedy that and stop the wild government spending. We can still save ourselves if we make drastic changes.
How many Americans neglect this sacred right to vote, when filling in your ballot is almost as easy as stopping in to a convenience store?
It is my hope that more Americans will vote than do not. Our record, to this point, is dismal, in the participation in government.
Any American who is even mildly aware of what is going on in Washington, D.C. knows that there is something truly wrong there.
Our Battlefield is the Ballot Box, and we must not neglect our duty to those who follow us and our fellow man, we must go there and fight our onerous government and do so for our kids and their kids, and those beyond, so we can hand them a country that is just as good as the one we had.
I am hoping for a greater participation than ever on this election day: it is our only hope to take our country back to Constitutional sanity.

You're right on, Sue! Let's hope the battle can be won at the ballot box. But I think that hearts and minds must be changed, as well. It will take a nation on its knees, and I know you know that.
